The Results: In Action
Helping Children Live Better Lives
Through the Nutrilite Power of 5 Campaign, we are bringing health benefits and success to thousands of children and families around the world. Here are some examples of global Amway events that have raised awareness of and funding for the fight against childhood malnutrition:
Malnutrition Mapping Project
The global Malnutrition Mapping Project was developed by the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) and sponsored by Amway. The result is a new online tool revealing the global burden of malnutrition in all its forms. The map includes data from more than 30 countries representing low, middle and high incomes and provides easy access to country-by-country statistics and insights on nutritional challenges. For detailed reports on individual countries, click here.
This project is part of Amway’s commitments to the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Business Network, which brings members of the private sector together to explore their role in solutions to malnutrition. Amway joined the network in 2014 and is one of over 100 businesses committed to improving global nutrition
A new Guinness World Record
In May 2015, Amway was awarded the Guinness World Record for the largest collection of handprints. These were gathered from May to December 2014 when Amway Business Owners, employees and friends around the world participated in 108 events. People from 50 different countries submitted a handprint as a sign of their personal commitment to help end malnutrition. Worldwide, 260,872 handprints were collected from “Raise Your Hand” events.
Amway matched the total handprint count with a donation to CARE for the distribution of Nutrilite Little Bits. All other funds collected at the events were added to that contribution.
